If I could spend the next two years traveling the world with my family, I would do just that. Of course, if I were to be afforded that opportunity, an iPhone and a GoPro would be two of the first things I would pack…wife and kids running a close second.

We (my aforementioned wife and my three kids) recently took a trip to Washington D.C. over the fourth of July weekend.  What better place to spend the nations 238th birthday.  In total, the time on vacation was about 3 days, however, the amount of video footage along with pictures was ridiculous.

Instagram is one of my new favorite social media outlets.  I love the fact that users now have the capability to share up to 15 second videos.  Certainly, I have created a few native videos on Instagram before (and when I say native, I mean just shooting it directly from the app).  This time, I figured I’d shake things up and see if I could do a quick video “sneak peak” of the current Washington D. C. movie that I am editing.

Please enjoy, and I will post (hopefully later this week) a easy-to-follow “how to” on mashing up some videos from your phone, dumping them into iMovie, dropping a song on top of it, then…sharing it to Instagram.  Perhaps a #InstaFlair hashtag will go with this movie.  On second thought, that one might be a little too cheesy.
